It's about 'give and take'

Assalamualaikum and a very good day mate!
Dear Readers,

Turning 18 is just another process of life that everyone will have the chance to feel (If they live that long, insya Allah).
It's just the way you celebrate it, that makes it a bit different from the past birthdays.
Instead of just accepting things, why not we learn the meaning of giving.
As when turning 18, we will not be attached or bind to the child act 2001, there are few new things that we can do now. Good things are what I meant.
To celebrate and make my 18th birthday a little bit differently, I planned to donate my blood to the blood bank.
Nevertheless, something went awry and I couldn't do it on the 22nd February.
But, when there's a will, there's a way right?
Thus, earlier today I made my way to the general hospital to do the deed as planned few days ago.
Donating blood is not a hard thing to do.
Just go to the information counter, tell the receptionist what you want to do, she will give you a visitor's tag:

Then, off you go to the lab. Lab assistants and nurses will help you out for the rest.
Donating blood is not really painful, well, maybe a bit when the nurse try to poke the needle to your blood vessel. It was just like being pinch by your baby sister or brother. Nothing much.
About 15 minutes or so after the blood 'packet' is full, the nurse will stop the blood flow to the packet.

Then she will keep your blood in the blood bank after several procedures.
After that, the nurse will let you rest for a while and give a goody bag as a symbol of gratitude.
Sound easy right?
It is! Piece of cake, as easy as ABC and you name it.

It only takes your courage and willingness to do this deed.
Who knows. One day, it could be one of your beloved ones who need the blood supply.
Do keep in mind the blood bank is lack of supply day by day.
It wont hurt to spend a few minutes to help.
Oh ya. After 17 years of living, only now I know my blood is in the group O.
I'm a Universal Donor!
Glad to know it but a little worry, because according to the biological knowledge I only can accept blood from the same group(group O)
Suddenly, it makes me thinking about teacher Azma's Biology class. =)

WARNING! SOME MIGHT FIND THIS PHOTO UNPLEASANT TO LOOK AT.

At the end of the process you will get a little book which will keep all the information on your blood donating activity:

Before you go there, make sure you consume sufficient amount of water, to ensure that the process will go smoothly.

I think that's all for now..
Thanks for reading guys!
Take care!
